Ash wood is strong and hardwearing. Sanded ash gives a neat, smooth appearance. Brushed ash has more character and band sawn ash wood has a very robust and rough look. In case of stubborn stains, ash wood can be easily re-treated. Sand the wood to 180-grit paper, then ash wood can be well protected with an oil, wax, varnish or stain of your choice.
